Liverpool’s Coach Arne Slot and Captain Virgil Van Dijk have expressed their thoughts regarding the club’s fourth consecutive defeat in the Premier League, urging the supporters to remain loyal to the team.
As reported by Fabrizio Romano on Sunday, Slot remarked, “The opposing teams have adopted a specific playing style against us, which serves as an effective strategy. We have yet to discover a solution to counter this.
“Furthermore, while it is not an excuse, the number of away games we have played has not been beneficial,” he stated.
In response, Van Dijk commented, “Everyone must reflect on their performance, myself included.”
“I am confident that we will overcome this challenge. However, we cannot achieve this merely through discussions. We will strive to enhance our performance. The supporters who celebrated with us last season should continue to support us during this time,” he concluded.
Liverpool’s upcoming match is in the EFL Cup fourth round against Crystal Palace on Wednesday at Anfield.
