The statement further emphasized the importance of supporting vulnerable populations, particularly in the times of need.
“This program is a testament to the commitment of the state government in ensuring that the less privileged are not left behind during this sacred period,” the statement noted.
The NUJ urged the food vendors awarded the contracts to uphold their responsibilities by providing both quality and sufficient meals throughout the Ramadan period.
According to the statement the vendors were reminded to act with integrity and fear Allah in their service to the community.
As a vigilant watchdog of society and a promoter of accountability and transparency, the NUJ will closely monitor the food vendors’ compliance with the contractual agreements adding that NUJ pledges to ensure that the initiative is executed effectively and benefits those who need it most.
This initiative not only fosters a sense of community but also serves as a model for similar programs aimed at enhancing the welfare of vulnerable populations.
The NUJ encourages other stakeholders to join in the efforts that uplift the lives of those in need during this sacred month and beyond.
