Iran’s Army Targets Israel: Drone Strikes at Ben Gurion

The Iranian Army announced a fresh wave of drone attacks against multiple targets at Ben Gurion Airport, saying the operation was aimed at disrupting Israeli military air operations and command systems.

The Public Relations Office of the Army of the Islamic Republic of Iran announced on Saturday that Iranian forces have carried out a large-scale drone attack against positions of the Zionist regime at Ben Gurion Airport.

Addressing the Iranian nation, the statement said that, in response to the continued use of the airport by the United States and Israeli regime for operations against Iran, Iranian Army forces targeted several key facilities from early Saturday morning. These included the new control tower, control towers at Terminals 1 and 2, navigation systems, as well as airport antennas and radar installations.

According to the statement, the drone operation was designed to disrupt the enemy’s command, control, and coordination of military air traffic, prevent the guidance of attacking fighter jets, and interfere with aerial operations. It also aimed to disable reconnaissance and electronic warfare systems and reduce the enemy’s ability to monitor airspace over the occupied territories.

The statement further stressed that retaliation for the blood of those martyred across Iran is inevitable, warning that Iran’s Armed Forces will continue to deliver uninterrupted and proportionate responses to the crimes and aggressions of its enemies with full force.

The US and the Israeli regime launched a large-scale unprovoked military campaign against Iran following the assassination of then Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, along with several senior military commanders and civilians on February 28.

The attacks have involved extensive aerial strikes on both military and civilian locations across Iran, causing significant casualties and widespread damage to infrastructure.

In response, the Iranian Armed Forces have carried out retaliatory operations, targeting American and Israeli positions in the occupied territories and at regional bases with waves of missiles and drones.
