“Following the apprehension of the suspects, police operatives initiated an investigation that resulted in the capture of another suspect, Abdulmumini Isah from Angwan Nungu, Lafia.

“The suspect later led operatives to the location where a locally made rifle, five live cartridges, and the knife used in stabbing the victim were concealed.”

Nansel added that during interrogation, two of the suspects confessed to the crime, while efforts are ongoing to apprehend other fleeing members of the gang.

The Commissioner of Police, CP Shettima Jauri Mohammed, commended the VGN and the police operatives for their prompt action and collaboration, which led to the arrests.

He urged residents to continue providing useful information that could assist security agencies in tackling crime across the state.
