Tinubu Pledges Sustained Infrastructure Push in South-East

Federal Government to deepen partnerships and accelerate major projects to drive regional growth

Bola Tinubu has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to accelerating infrastructure development and strengthening collaboration with state governments in the South-East.

The President made this known at a public lecture organised by the Abia State Government in Umuahia to mark the 70th birthday of Azubuike Ihejirika.

Represented by the Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology, Kingsley Ude, the President highlighted key projects including the concession of the Akanu Ibiam International Airport and ongoing rail and port upgrades across the region.

He also referenced the creation of the South East Development Commission to fast-track economic growth and infrastructure delivery.

Tinubu added that continued investment in infrastructur and economic reforms would support job creation, improve security, and strengthen national cohesion.
