VP calls for private investment, blended finance at ASIS

Vice President Kashim Shettima has urged African leaders to move away from dependence on aid and loans, advocating “strategic capitalism” driven by blended finance and private enterprise.

He spoke at the Africa Social Impact Summit (ASIS) in Abuja, where he stressed that Africa’s future should be financed through patient and catalytic capital, not foreign aid.
