Boko Haram Adopts Drones for Attacks in Borno

Governor Babagana Umara Zulum of Borno State has raised alarm over reports that Boko Haram insurgents have begun using unmanned combat drones to launch attacks on Nigerian troops in the state.

Speaking on Friday, Zulum urged the Federal Government to take immediate and decisive action against the growing wave of insurgent attacks, particularly in the Mafa area of Borno.

The governor’s warning followed a recent assault by the insurgents, which reportedly led to loss of lives and heightened tension among residents.

Zulum emphasized that it was time for stronger security measures to confront the evolving threats posed by the group. He stressed that the Borno State Government would not remain silent while innocent lives continue to be lost.
