Governor Dikko Radda of Katsina State has sanctioned a cabinet reshuffle along with the establishment of a new Ministry of Livestock Development.
This announcement was made by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Ibrahim Kaula-Mohammed, on Saturday in Katsina.
He stated that Alhaji Adnan Nahabu has been reassigned from the Ministry for Special Duties to the Ministry for Higher, Vocational and Technical Education, where he will serve as Commissioner.
Prof. Ahmad Muhammad-Bakori has transitioned from the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development to lead the newly formed Ministry of Livestock Development.
Alhaji Aliyu Lawal-Zakari has been shifted from the Ministry of Youth and Sports Development to the Ministry of Agriculture, while Hajiya Zainab Musa-Musawa has been moved from the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education to the Ministry of Special Duties.
He further noted that the newly appointed Commissioners include Alhaji Yusuf Suleiman-Jibia, who will take on the role of Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education, and Alhaji Surajo Yazid-Abukur, who has been designated as Commissioner for Youths and Sports Development.
Additionally, Hajiya Aisha Aminu, formerly the Director-General of the Katsina State Enterprise Development Agency, now leads the Ministry of Women Affairs.
Moreover, Hajiya Hadiza Abubakar-Yar’adua has been reassigned from the Ministry of Women Affairs to act as Special Adviser on Nutrition and Welfare Services, while Alhaji Isa Muhammad-Musa has been moved from the Ministry for Higher, Technical and Vocational Education to serve as Special Adviser on Cultural Orientation.
Kaula-Mohammed quoted Radda as urging all appointees to remain dedicated to the vision of his administration’s ‘Building Your Future Agenda’ and to prioritize service to the citizens of the state.
He mentioned that the reshuffle, which took effect immediately, was intended to realign the administration for enhanced service delivery and optimal performance across critical sectors.
“The reshuffle will enhance coordination, deepen sectoral expertise, and accelerate the delivery of critical programmes across education, health, agriculture, youths development, women empowerment, and social welfare,” Radda said.
