Nigerians Urged to Back Tinubu’s Security Initiatives

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress in Ondo State, Olabode Omoyele, has urged Nigerians to support President Bola Tinubu in his efforts to address the country’s security challenges.

Omoyele made the call during an empowerment programme he organised for residents across the 13 wards in Okitipupa Local Government Area. He expressed optimism that the insecurity affecting parts of the country would soon be resolved, commending Tinubu for the reforms being implemented in various sectors.

He said, “Mr President deserves our support and prayers as he is making efforts to end the ongoing insecurity challenges. I also urge our people to be security-conscious in their environments.”

Omoyele, founder of the Olabode Humanitarian Foundation, distributed items valued at over N100 million at the event. The items included 1,000 bags of 10kg rice and N10,000 each for 1,000 widows, 1,000 spraying pumps and 1,000 bottles of herbicides for farmers, as well as N50,000 cash support to 200 youths, 50 men and 100 women. Over 1,000 cutlasses were also given to farmers.

He said the initiative was part of his commitment to community development and a gesture to support the efforts of the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, and President Tinubu.

Omoyele also praised the minister’s contributions to the mobilisation for Tinubu’s re-election, noting Tunji-Ojo’s involvement in groups such as the Asiwaju Mandate Group and the PBAT Continuity Project.

The event also featured the launch of the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu Continuity Project in Ondo State, led by its Director-General, Pastor Femi Agagu, a former Commissioner for Education and Chief of Staff to the late Governor Olusegun Agagu.
