The Super Falcons’ camp in Ikenne, Ogun State, has swelled to 14 players following the arrival of four more internationals ahead of Nigeria’s 2028 Olympic qualifying clash against Comoros.
The latest arrivals are defenders Shukurat Oladipo of AS Roma, Glory Ogbonna of Beşiktaş JK, forward Shakirat Moshood of SCU Torreense in Portugal, and midfielder Omenazu Favour Oyinmiyebi Oluchi of MK Dons in England.
Their arrival further strengthens the squad as preparations intensify for the Olympic qualifying encounter.
The quartet joins 10 players who had earlier reported to camp, with the early arrivals comprising a blend of domestic league stars and overseas-based internationals.
The players already in camp are Farida Abdulwahab, Tumininu Adeshina, Joy Igbokwe, Fatimoh Solaty, Christiana Uzoma, Blessing Nkor, Valentina Uroko, Glory Edet, Sandra John and Suliat Abideen.
Nkor plays for Dynamo Brest in Belarus, while Abideen represents Fenerbahçe Ladies in Türkiye. The remaining early arrivals are drawn from the Nigeria Women’s Football League, with players from Nasarawa Amazons, Edo Queens, Bayelsa Queens and Rivers Queens.
The latest influx takes the number of players in camp to 14, providing the technical crew with a larger group to work with as the Falcons step up preparations for the Comoros challenge.
With more players expected to join the squad, attention will now turn to building a fully assembled squad and fine-tuning preparations for the crucial Olympic qualifying tie.
The Super Falcons will be aiming to make a strong start to their qualification campaign as they bid to secure a place at the 2028 Olympic Games.
