Young Thug Name-Drops Gunna In Scathing “UY Scuti” Diss

Young Thug released his fourth studio album, “UY Scuti,” on Friday, which is his first album since his release from jail last year.
Young Thug aimed a pointed remark at his former collaborator, Gunna, in the track, “Dreams Rarely Do Come True,” from his new album, UY Scuti. “Why would I cry over a b*tch I gave to Gunna police ass?” he raps in the song. This line has gone viral on social media.

When Kurrco posted the lyric on X (formerly Twitter), fans expressed mixed feelings. “Alright I’m done fr until he’s ready to admit he’s gay so other n****s can stop acting like this is normal,” one user commented. Another user similarly remarked: “This is a lover’s obsession. Ain’t no way they were just friends. This n***a stay talking about Gunna. Thug was definitely the bottom.”
Thug and Gunna have been in conflict since their arrest in the YSL RICO case in 2022. That same year, Gunna accepted a plea deal to secure his release from jail, leading to accusations of cooperating with law enforcement. Although he refuted the claims, his relationship with Young Thug has not recovered.

These collaborations occur despite Thug having dissed several of his associates in various jail calls that have emerged on social media over the past month. The individuals mentioned included Future and Travis Scott, along with Mariah the Scientist, to whom he confessed to being unfaithful during their relationship. Thug ultimately expressed remorse for all the turmoil in his single, “Miss My Dogs.”

Regarding the title of UY Scuti, Thug shared his inspiration for the name with GQ earlier this year. He stated: “I just feel big, you know. The name of my album UY Scuti. I feel like I’m one of the biggest stars. I did a lot. Founding this culture. The new rap game that’s happening right now. I’m out of this world. Not like God, though.”
