The Jigawa State Executive Council has approved the contract for the construction of an additional two-storey office block at the State Secretariat complex. This decision was made during the Council’s meeting on Wednesday, December 24, 2025.
In a statement issued by the Honourable Commissioner for Information, Youth, Sports, and Culture, Sagir Musa Ahmed, the contract is valued at ₦8,738,465,258.48.
This initiative is part of the government’s ongoing efforts to enhance administrative efficiency and accommodate the growing needs of various state ministries.
The new office block is expected to provide modern facilities that will improve service delivery to the citizens of Jigawa State.
