Nwabali Back In Action Fit For Super Eagles World Cup Qualifiers

Stanley Nwabali was in action as Chippa United fell to a 3-0 defeat against Orlando Pirates on Sunday.

Nwabali was stretchered off the pitch in the 35th minute of Chippa United’s defeat to Richards Bay on Monday.

There were fears he could be sidelined for a lengthy spell but he made a timely return against Orlando Pirates at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium.

It was, however, a disappointing outing for the shot stopper as he conceded thrice in the game.

Chippa United remain bottom of the table with one point from five games.

Nwabali is now expected to travel to Nigeria for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and South Africa.
