French Embassy physical health specialists have underscored the vital significance of adhering to a regular exercise routine to enhance cardiovascular health.

In the October edition of the ‘Fitness Core’, the expert detailed how consistent physical activity can greatly lower the risk of heart diseases and boost overall wellness.
They pointed out the various forms of exercises appropriate for different age demographics and fitness levels, urging individuals to incorporate both aerobic and strength-training workouts into their everyday lives.

Speaking to reporters, a leading partner from Paragonx, who is also associated with the event, highlighted the pressing concern of heart disease, which remains one of the top causes of mortality globally.
He urged both the Nigerian and French communities to adopt active lifestyles and take a holistic approach to health that prioritises balanced nutrition, regular health screenings, and physical activity.

He stated, “The message we are conveying at the Fitness Core, from the opening ceremony to this October edition, centres on comprehensive health and wellness. The heart is the engine that powers every facet of our existence, and it is crucial that we preserve its health through regular exercise.”
A yoga instructor at the event, known simply as Juliet, highlighted the transformative benefits of yoga as a fundamental physical health practice that nurtures the body, spirit, and mind.

She articulated that yoga promotes focus, concentration, and balance through deep breathing techniques, which play a vital role in maintaining a healthy and active heart.

She remarked, “The Embassy has consistently demonstrated its dedication to fostering good health, especially cardiovascular wellness, and incorporating yoga into one’s daily routine can be particularly advantageous for achieving balance and improving mental concentration following intense workouts. Nigerians should aim to weave physical health activities into their everyday lives, regardless of their hectic schedules.”

Attendee Mohammad Ibrahim reflected on his experience from last year’s event, noting considerable enhancements in this year’s gathering. He mentioned that since last year, there has been a marked increase in awareness regarding physical health, resulting in improved overall well-being.

Mavin Chimobi, a data scientist and fervent supporter of physical health, commended the French Embassy for its beneficial influence on the Abuja community through initiatives that advocate for overall wellness.

He stressed the significance of physical health, asserting, “On a scale of 1 to 10, physical health is a perfect 10 because it boosts heart function and prepares the body to effectively handle the challenges of ageing.”
