Mbappe Could Leave Madrid If His Demands Are Not Met

French journalist Daniel Riolo has opened the door to a potential bombshell departure that few saw coming this early.

As reported by football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano on X on Friday, speaking on RMC Sport’s After Foot and later in more detail on Cadena SER’s El Larguero, the well-connected reporter, long regarded as close to the Mbappé family, delivered a stark assessment of the French superstar’s situation at Real Madrid.

Riolo said, “If he does not have the team he wants, it’s possible that he will leave. I think it’s possible. I don’t think he’s happy with everything that’s happening at Real Madrid this season.”

The comments, which Riolo himself framed as a sentiment rather than concrete information, have sent shockwaves through Spanish and French media.

Mbappé still has two years remaining on his contract after the current campaign, with the deal running until June 2029.

A departure in the summer of 2027 would therefore require either a mutual agreement or a major transfer.
