Former Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has warned that Nigeria is paying heavily for years of neglect and underfunding in the education sector, describing many schools as broken and poorly funded.
Osinbajo spoke at the 94th Founders Day of Igbobi College, Lagos, where he stressed that foundational education plays a critical role in shaping future leaders and moral values.
He called on corporate organisations, alumni and well-meaning individuals to support the education sector through endowments and other interventions to complement government efforts.
